The Frankfort Community Public Library (FCPL), in partnership with the United Way Family Literacy Program, is excited to announce the launch of Super Readers a new targeted reading remediation program designed to help third-grade students prepare for the upcoming Indiana Reading Evaluation and Determination (IREAD) standardized reading test. This free program will be held on Wednesday evenings, Jan. 21–Feb. 25 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in FCPL’s Lower Level Meeting Room. Space is limited, and registration is required to participate. To register, visit myfcpl.org/calendar or call (765) 654-8746. The Super Readers initiative is built upon a collaborative curriculum developed by teachers, librarians, and educational experts. The goal is to provide focused, high-impact support outside of classroom settings, ensuring students have the tools they need to succeed. FCPL is actively seeking qualified volunteers, particularly retired teachers and educators, who wish to contribute their expertise to this vital community program. Those interested may apply at myfcpl.org/volunteer. The Family Literacy Program is a United Way agency funded by the United Way with support from the Friends of the Frankfort Community Public Library and generous private donations.
