Join Sherry Stowers and Reanna Stover at the Frankfort Community Public Library on April 28 at 5:30 p.m. to learn about the Captain Harmon Aughe Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). The DAR is a women’s genealogical service organization founded in 1890 to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism across the United States. Stowers and Stover will discuss how the local chapter strives to meet these objectives both in their meetings and through their service projects. They will also talk about the application process for those interested in joining. This meeting is free, open to the public, and will be broadcast via Facebook Live for those who cannot attend in person. It will be held in the library’s lower level meeting room. For more information, contact Jill Garrison at (765) 654-8746, ext. 1137 or jgarrison@myfcpl.org.
