Turf Technician/Supervisor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Spray Technician/Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to various landscapes. This role requires a strong understanding of pest control and lawn care practices, as well as the ability to operate various tools and machinery safely. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently. The Spray Technician will work closely with clients to ensure their needs are met while maintaining high standards of safety and environmental responsibility. During winter months, candidate will supervise snow removal crews to maintain 40 hours a week. Responsibilities/Experience/Requirements: • Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and other treatments using sprayers/hoses and nozzles to lawns and landscapes according to instructions, industry standards and safety guidelines. Mix chemicals according to specified formulas for effective application. • Demonstrate knowledge of chemicals, seeds, and fertilizers • Perform routine inspections of properties to assess lawn health and identify potential issues. • Clean and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition. • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering recommendations. • Maintain accurate records of all applications and treatments and report any issues or concerns • Comply with all safety regulations and company policies. • Work in various weather conditions as required • Operate hand tools and power tools as needed • Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required • Registered Technician and Indiana 3B licenses (preferred, but will support continuing education/testing) - Required • Assist with other lawn care tasks as needed. • Previous experience in lawn care is preferred but not required; training will be provided. • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. • Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Job Type: Full-time/year round Pay: hourly - negotiable based on current licenses $17-$19/hour.
