The City of Frankfort Street Department is gearing up for spring with Operation Spring Clean-Up, a week-long event offering residents the opportunity to dispose of unwanted household items. Upon arrival at the Street Department, 905 Burlington Avenue, residents must show identification at the gate. The clean-up will take place from Monday, April 28th, to Friday, May 2nd, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and conclude on Saturday, May 3rd, from 8:00 a.m. to noon. “We urge residents to take advantage of Operation Spring Clean-Up to remove unwanted items,” said Brian Killman, Street Superintendent for the City of Frankfort. “It’s a great chance to declutter and help keep Frankfort looking its best.” Residents of the City of Frankfort can drop off two pickup truckloads of bulk items, including large items (couches, mattresses, box springs, appliances, carpet, chairs, dressers, and tvs) Items NOT Accepted: ? NO TIRES ? NO REMODELING/BUILDING MATERIALS ? NO LUMBER ? NO CONCRETE ? NO DRYWALL ? NO ROOFING SHINGLES
